I love my mac except when I don't

Motherboard on the ibook just fried again. One trip to apple store later, I have no ibook, but a promise they will fix it again, a new power supply and two hours less of my day.

Anyone know how to get music off an ipod if the ibook is missing? Is there a way to back up an ipod without going through the whole computer authorization crap scheme? The only data I don't have backed up are the itunes downloads that are on my ipod.

So here I sit, linked to my back up internet umbilicus, the toshiba tablet pc thingy I was just thinking about selling.

Anyone have an old imac doorstop they don't need?

aren't the contents of your ipod backed up on the ibook?

there's a tool that can do this. look on www.versiontracker.com for it (don't remember the name off the top of my head)

two motherboards, that's crazy talk!! Any idea why?

I'm sending my imac doorstop to my mother; for whom it will be the most magical, fastest machine she has ever worked on.

PodMaster's what you want. It'll let you pull from a pod to a Mac w/o over-synching.

Yah

Find someone who can burn the songs to a disc.
