welcome home to my new ibook

Blake is watching the wiggles.

I'm trying to fiddle with my new ibook. My old ibook died again. (motherboard fry #4) and after a trip or two to the apple store, I'm in posession of a new, larger faster ibook. (at no cost to me, I might add. . . well, I did have to buy a new airport card because this machine takes the new ones and the other used the older kind)

So yay. Hope this one has a better track record. Hope I manage to keep Blake from damaging it too severely.

Of course, I now realize that I'm supposed to be writing a 2-3 page essay about kafka's the castle that is due in the morning. I'm going to plead dead computer and sick kid.

Now I have to reinstall everything. I've managed to recover most everything from my backup dated 9/28/04. iPhoto is the only thing that seems to be uncooperative. I've decided to struggle with it later.

Logan baked cupcakes. Mmmm.

Blake seems to be a bit perkier tonight, but perhaps that's because he had a sneaky stash of froot loops.

Must call apple customer service and get them to deauthorise all the dead motherboards in my account so I can authoirse this one.

Mmmmm. Geeky goodness.

The only things I hadn't backed up were my calendar and my address book. I'm hoping to find podmaster online somewhere, but it looks like it's evaporated.
