Question for the masses

Would it be unreasonable for me to put up a webpage to try to raise the money to get Blake a service dog?

I need to raise $10k for the dog, about $1.5k for the trainers/handlers to come to SF (from Portland) and visit after a couple weeks to make sure everything is OK I need to raise about $1k for me to go to Portland for a week and stay in a hotel and go through their training.

That's about $12.5k more than I have.

I think this would be an invaluable tool for Blake. I'm determined to make it happen.

Would anyone be willing to help spread the word about this if I put it up? If people feel sketchy about sending me money, I could probably arrange for the donations to be sent directly to the non-profit that we'd be getting the dog from.

Comments? Suggestions? Criticism?

OK, you artistic designer types

Prepare to suspend your artistic sensibility to view this.

It's abre bones, to say the least, with absolutely no design, but it contains what I think is the essential information.

Critique as long as you can help me sort it out. Mail servers I once did, but web page markup languages I never learned. Have pity on my poor un-fancy self.
