Vaio anyone?

I'm selling my laptop.

It's a good machine, but a bit old. They've pretty much replaced everything in the last year, so it's an old case with new guts. Good performing for it's age, pII 450, 256MB RAM, Win 98, with just about all the software you could want. Wireless card, firewire, USB, all the modern conveniences. Two AC adapters, DVD, 14.1 inch XGA screen. 5 gig hard drive can be swapped out for a 20 for an extra $50. Extended warranty is up Dec 1, but can be extended in your name before then.

Asking $400 for friends, $500 strangers.

Is that too much? I mean I did spend a lot of time doing the clean install and all. . .

Is it a model PCG-540? That's mine. Good machine except the keyboard.

As for the price, check E-bay. They should tell you how much a similar one has been sold for.

how much is shipping on a laptop?

Don't know, but I'd be willing to find out if you're interested. I have a shipping box for a laptop and everything. I'd assume about $30 or $40.

How much-ish does it weigh? I might be interested.

6 pounds, I think. Not a lightweight, not the heaviest I've ever had, either. I can send you the detailed specs if you want.
