Someone just called and told me they found my driver's license. (the one which had been stolen from my car. . .) She dropped it off, even.

So, wow. Guess it pays to have my name in the phone book.

I love when people disprove my general misanthropy. A few years ago, a cab driver returned chestertodd's bag - complete with Palm pilot, wallet, credit cards, ipod, passport...it was miraculous! I didn't even grumble at people on the subway for, like, a whole week after that.
