A fun and festive morning

Blake and I played a little fishy game then played pac man, ate Kix and off he went to school.

I'm now going to quickly shower and run to school myself.

Life is pretty good. Kiddo is happy, more well rested than he's been in years, on a more regular schedule (thanks to Super Logan!!) for bedtime than ever before. We've moved his bedtime from Midnight to 8:30 since moving into the new place. He's waking up anywhere from 5 until 8, but since he has to get the bus at 7:55, I occasionally must rouse him at 7.

I know you're all jealous because you don't have a parent like me. It was raining yesterday, so we all moved the furniture out of the way and rollerskated in the house. Oh yeah.

We all should have had a parent like you. For real :)

im jealous.....

once it got REALLY hot and i couldnt afford an air conditioner, and it hink Daya was maybe 4 at the time... so we bought a kiddie pool and put it in the middle fo the living room and filled it up... for like a week she sat in that pool watching TV playing with toys.... we lived on the top floor of an apartment..imagine if it had leaked!

I think one of my fondest memories as a child was something familiar to this....

My mom always worked late so my older brother and I would ride our bikes in our huge kitchen. It's something I have never forgotten. So you just did the same thing for Blake gave him something he will never forget....way to go Dad.

Personally, I'm craving the tetris. I will beat that level, I will beat that level . . . soon

I have been reading your journal on and off for a year now and I am so very impressed with the loving, caring, unique parent you are. Your Blake is indeed fortunate.
I've read articles about you and have heard you on a radio show. I find great delight knowing that the world is graced with the likes of you.
You are so right in that I did not have a parent like you growing up. But I think living that childhood helped me to be a better parent of quality. My sons are in their early 20s now and still remind me every so often of the events of their childhood that they cherish still.
Hello and best wishes>>>maggie

You know I was so the tube socks and little 70s gym shorts wearing disco skater kid. I used to skate on the weekends during the winter because it was really the only exercise we could get with all the hideous Great Lakes snow.

You should come over soon, I show you some ebarrassing photographic evidence.

When I win the lottery and buy you a house? It's going to have a big slide going into an adult sized ball pit. Yes it will. You can never outgrow ball pits.

We have swings set up in the living room for those long, cold, Vermont winter days.

So I have one question, is it obstacle course rollerskating or do you have big open rooms? We have carpeting, I don't know if it would work...
