good morning

Blake went to sleep like a dream last night, at about 9pm. Dropped like a stone almost as soon as he was in the bed.

He woke up shortly after 1am, and has been up since. I'm really glad I have the ability to go back to sleep, if I can manage.

If I can manage to get him on the bus without suffering grievous bodily injury, it'll be all good.

Yeah, being able to sleep when opportunity knocks is a Very Useful Skill. One of the first parental ones I learned, I think.

The third pargraph made me wince, not because I think it's bad as in "bad kid" stuff, but because I'm sure it hurts because of your RA.
I wish we lived closer--for the thousandth time.

You're a dear. I slept fitfully for a couple of hours. I'm going to just lay low until I have to go to work, and hopefully I will not succumb to the temptation to load up on sugar and caffeine to feel more awake.

I wish you could see the little man, he's grown and changed so much since you were able to meet him, I think you'd be tickled by his progress, and I know we'd have tons of fun.

How does your RA affect your parenting?
I struggle with this too...especially in the moments that I can't be as active or strong as Brennan needs me to be.
