the dental floss and door knob technique did not work on my son! we had several good laughs trying, though. (my) B's loose teeth don't typically fall out until a friend, or a ball, knocks them out. if you're into the Tooth Fairy...here's a tip: make sure you have a couple of dollars (or whatever the Fairy brings to your house)handy, so you don't get caught unprepared! also, popsicles are a nice treat for sore gums.
