I ALWAYS got "Robert is very intelligent but doesn't apply himself to his work." I was diagnosed with major ADHD on my 38th birthday. Every book I've read looks like my memoirs. Even though ADD has been known about for nearly a hundred years, when you and I were in school (I'm 11 years older) it just wasn't on the teachers' radar. I think some of it has to do with their generation, some growing up during the depression or WWII and the "work hard and you can do it" attitude that was applied to everything and anything. Robby
