Hey, here's a tip I've come up with from transferring several clients' iPhoto libraries:
You have to pull over the Pictures folder, the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file, and the iPhoto cache. The cache is the unusual thing, you never have to do that for any other data transfer on a Mac.
