%$#@^&!*@%@#!!!
Jun. 21st, 2004 01:33 pmI would shout expletices, but that won't help.
Went to take Blake to the car this morning to take himm to the doctors to get his shots for kindergarten. When I got to the car, I found that someone had broken the window by Blake's car seat.
The car seat was covered in shazttered glass, as was everything else. Blake immediately decried, "Ice!" and began to play in the broken glass on the sidewalk cutting his fingers. So I somehow managed to get him out of the glass and into the car, get the glass off of his seat and from around the window frame closest to him, and make it to the doctor by 10:30.
It took 4 people to pin him down to give him each of the 4 shots. However, they put bandaids on after the shots, and he hates nothing more than bandaids, so once I took thos off, game him some m&ms, put his earphones on with "growing" and "4 hugs a day" from his cassette tape from school, all was well. Dropped him off at school just in time for recess.
I'm at Logan's waiting for the truck and installer to come with the new window. Can I mention that an extra $135 wasn't really in the budget?
I am supposed to be studying. Will just do my best once I get home.
So, hi. Logan and I went to Rite Aid for some compesatory sugary retail therapy and then had banh-mi sandwiches at the Vietnamese place by his house. The car has been vacuumed and I'm not really having that bad of a day now that all of the drama is over with.
Yet another reason to add to the growing list of why I need to move.
What's your day been like?
