For those who desire to help out the situation in New Orleans in any way, either large or small, a small group of Tulane students have set up a website in order for people to make online donations. The website is: www.NOLAhurricaneFund.org.

Unlike donations to excellent organizations like the Red Cross and The Salvation Army (which are dispursed to all of their worthy causes worldwide), donations to this website exclusively benefit the City of New Orleans, and the City of New Orleans--in conjuction with the site's founders--ultimately controls where the money goes and how it is spent. Therefore, this is an excellent venue for individuals looking to make a contribution of any size to this specific cause.

Wish you could help, but lack the money to do so at the moment? A simple repost of this message--or posting your favorite charity here or anywhere
else--is a great way to encourage those who can donate even when you can't. This particular effort, like so many others, is fairly grass-roots, so word-
of-mouth publicity is important.

Again, the site is www.NOLAhurricaneFund.org

Thanks.

I have been in bed all day with some kind of stomach flu bug.

I am feeling totally wiped out by just walking to the kitchen, and trying my best to keep up with Blake's needs, but he's pretty upset with me and doesn't understand why I'm acting this way.

I don't think I can make it upright long enough to get to the store, but I have some supplies which I hope will do.

This reminds me of when Blake was hospitalized with viral pneumonia and came home after 2 days only to need to be readmitted because he'd picked up rotavirus from one of the other children in the hospital. I've already purged everything that could have been in my system, so hopefully keeping hydrated will be enough to get me past it. No health coverage until the quarter officially starts at the end of this month, despite the fact that I've been working in my placement for nearly a month now.

Oh, and that got switched yesterday, too. I'll try to catch you all up on that later.
