Long night
Oct. 21st, 2005 06:16 amI've been up since midnight with a barfing kid. I thought he'd stopped and was going to send him on to school, but he threw up again at about 5:30, so he's going to have to stay home for the day.
He's finally fallen asleep now, so I hope once he wakes up he will feel better. I now have to figure out how to do huge piles of laundry while the sick kid is home. I may be hitting up
silkensteel and
jnork for some pinch hitting in the watch the sleeping child for a few minutes so I can be the laundry wench.
Made a great quiz for my school kids today, but won't be able to torture them with it in person. Cell biology. Gotta love it.
I also have a lunch meeting with a professor for pizza (and beer! she added). Must not forget to ask about that, too.
Funny thing is, after 6 or 7 years of not sleeping through the night, I can really take one night with almost no sleep and not feel too terrible. I think that is very weird.
