The only development that is noteworthy today is that my car {sniff}, my beloved little station wagon did not pass smog. It will never pass smog because it would cost more than the car is worth to fix it and I have zero car budget. Sucks because it has really good tires on it, is in relatively decent shape mechanically and I just can't stand the fact that the car runs fine but I don't get to use it anymore.

I have procured the paperwork that I need to turn it in to the state. I didn't fill it out tonight. I will fill it out tomorrow. Then I will have to clean out the car, and wait for them to come and take it away. One of my neighbors also had a 98 Ford and told me this was likely to happen. She gave me the paperwork for the program. They take my car, and since I'm very low income, they give me $1000.

Good bye little 1998 Ford Escort Wagon. You are the most expensive thing I have ever owned in my life. I will miss you. I will miss having my "Blue Car" as Blakey calls it.

Soon I will be the owner of a $500 car seat but will have no car to put it in.

Ahh, my life. I couldn't make this up if I tried.

Did the smog check guys tell you why it didn't pass? Did they claim your catalytic converter needed to be replaced? If they did, then you should consider seeing my mechanic, Carlos. I was told the same thing and wasn't going to bother fixing the car for the same reason as you, the car isn't worth that much, when I was told to take it to Carlos. He said it's almost never the catalytic converter and played around with the timing of my car and bingo, he go it passed the smog test, and only charged me about $80.

I did also have all of my oil filters changed and ran whatever that gas additive is through my engine prior to taking the smog test.

$500 car seat? i found one pair of black Coco Chanel boots with straps that run underneath the sole and back to the top with a fancy buckle, and one pair of Gucci heels. i was counting my e-bay coins when my friend noticed that each shoe, on both pairs, is for the left foot.
