High temperature in Davis today is 104 F (40C). Tomorrow it's supposed to go up to 105 F (pushing 41 C).

It's after 3pm here and I still have not received my Harry Potter book. Hope the UPS person didn't fall down faint from the heat.

104!? That's crazy. I thought, since it was more North, it might be cooler.

I have read all of the books so far. I have the audio CDs of a few of them if the kids might like copies.

I lucked out. I stopped by Stacey's bookstore today and they still had a whole pile of copies. I love that place.

Since I am the only person on the face of the earth not interested in HP, I'll comment on the weather part of the post.
Las Vegas hit 115 degrees today. It is now midnight and temps have plummeted to one hundred.
There is no humidity but hot is hot.

Gee, and here I thought I was the only person on the face of the earth not interested in HP! I bought the last one in France cause it was a British version and way more interesting because of it but the main thing that stuck in my head was "She has now become so famous that people are scared of editing anything she's written..."

How nice that the new one is out. Really. Y'all go off and have a good time reading.

As for the weather report, I'm much appreciative! I brought a friend to the airport on Thursday bound for LV and I pick her up tomorrow... I'd noted it was going to be hotter than Hades... I hope you're finding a way to keep cool!

Aren't you sweet!

I hope your friend enjoyed Vegas. Today it hit 120. I walked a short distance and when I entered an air conditioned place, I found I had some trouble adjusting my eyes and I was a little weak. And after 3 yrs living here (after 48 yrs in New York), I am supposed to be used to it. 120 is a bit much. Me keeping cool..yeah...in the house with central a/c catching up on housework. Even the pool is too hot. Thanks for commenting. Take care.
