I have a student whose family is so poor when I asked her what she wanted for Christmas she said, "Shoes." Can anyone help me? She's a twin, she has sickle cell, and her single mom is trying to raise 3 kids on her own. I want to take all 3 kids out and get them a pair of shoes, a pair of jeans and a shirt, gloves, a hat and something to listen to music on. Who's in?

Sometimes I think that the problems of this world need a major overhaul and that small donations aren't the way to make a difference. And then I kick myself and say, "Where the hell did that thought come from?"
