easter egg is a nerd term for a hidden feature, usually in some computer related thingy. . . in this case, there is a special bit added to the Lord of the Ring etended DVD that is quite amusing. I hadn't seen it, and got the DVD for xmas, so I had to ask one of my esteemed friends to help me remember where to find it.

ah ha! thanks! I am so regretting getting the cheapo LOTR DVD...*sigh* I won't make that mistake again!
